Revealing Ordos Open-Pit Coal Mine in Inner Mongolia: How Do 100-Ton Mining Trucks Operate Precisely in a Sandstorm?
On February 6, 2025, the CPDEVICE team traveled to an open-pit coal mine in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, for on-site service, conducting a thorough inspection of the operation of 100-ton mining trucks. The environment at the mine is challenging, with frequent sandstorms and extremely cold temperatures, placing high demands on equipment stability. After a series of on-site adjustments and system optimizations, the mining trucks were able to operate in a sandstorm-prone environment with an error margin of no more than 3 cm, executing tasks with precision.
The extreme environment of the Ordos open-pit coal mine tested the technical performance of the mining trucks, and CPDEVICE’s technical solutions successfully met this challenge. With IP67 protection, high-performance processors, precise GNSS positioning, and comprehensive after-sales service, CPDEVICE ensured that the mining trucks operated efficiently and accurately in harsh environments. In the future, intelligent mining trucks will drive the mining industry towards more efficient and safer operations.
